We organized four ocean plastic hackathons under the theme: Circular Economy to free the environment of foamed polystyrene, hosted by the Oceanwise INTERREG Atlantic Area Project. In a total of 20 days, these hybrid events challenged participants to create innovative solutions to solve the problem of the worrying source of foamed polystyrene products (EPS and XPS) marine litter in the Atlantic Ocean, an issue the Oceanwise project focused on.

With different teams, approaches and mentors, we ended-up with 5 different prototypes of creative solutions for a diverse range of contexts linked to this global problem.
